Taxi's - offering "alternative payment"

Genuine question, has anyone ever offered an alternative to paying for a taxi ride?

I am about to start taxiing and have heard the old stories from drivers that it happens a lot but I'm not sure the stories really hold up.

Has anyone ever offered?

(Just a side note, this isn't why I am starting out as a driver )

I taxi'd for over 14 years in and around Lanarkshire and can tell you for definate it does happen especially at weekends and usually with teen girls and their crazy hormones lol.

On a side note, I would pick these same girls up on school days and drop them off with them not knowing that I'd picked them up when they where pissed and no I didn't succumb to their charms...my liviehood was way more important that a quick fumble in my back seat but becareful if you do become a taxi driver, lots of false allegations can come your way if you happen to piss someone off.

I wouldn't class THAT as a perk more a minefield .. was a taxi driver for 20yrs .. and seen what a false allegation can do to a life (a colleague not me) never mind 1 with merit .. as a taxi driver you are tasked and trusted to carry passengers in a safe and respectable manner to and from destinations not use the job as a means to get your leg over ...keep business and pleasure very separate or risk loosing everything including your freedom

That was a badly worded tongue in cheek joke in all fairness, it isn't something I am hoping for in any sense, was genuinely curious if it is something that happens or if it was one of those stories that get spread about

I knew of a taxi driver from lanarkshire whos life was ruined by 2 teenage girls who made false sexual allegations about him.

Ended up in court and he was aquitted when their stories didnt match up and one of them finally caved in to the truth. But by then it was too late, so be mindful

Yes, it does happen. Was taking a minibus group on a party drop when a male voice from the back shouted “How much will it be if “Lisa” gives you a Blowjob”. We then heard an annoyed female voice objecting as the rest laughed when told it would still be the same price.

But as others have said it would be a minefield if you took up any of the offers.

What ^ this chap said. Wasn't so long ago a male taxi driver was accused of sexually assaulting a lady. What this poor chap and his family went through must have been awful. Once police started to investigate, turns out taxi drivers sat nav had a geographical and timeline that didn't match the story of the woman who was doing the accusing. (insert angry emoji).

You started it with ‘Serious question’ I don’t see how that was tongue in cheek! You’re now backtracking. You might be better off as an HGV driver. I’ve had loads of offers to try out their bunk. Never took them up on their offer.

Know a taxi driver and he said that you would get many offers from 18-25 trying to get off payment. Having said that thr amount of free flashes were high so..... wasn't all bad!

I personally wouldn’t. You could end up being the centre of false allegations and lose your license. Payment in kind doesn’t put food on the table either.

Oh and I would invest in a good dashcam that record’s what’s going on inside the car as well as on the road

Well in answer to your question yes it does happen but you will find in almost every instance the lady/girl will be a little worse for wear in the alcohol department

Ah this old fantasy raising its head, it’s exactly the same as the one for tradesmen when they hope the customer is a sexy female and wants pumped after the job is done when in reality what happens is, you do the job and if the customer does get overly flirty…..you absolutely shite your pants,
