My regular barber in Edinburgh for about 15 years (during the 80's and 90's) was a belter of a woman, mid 30's and her speciality was "The Muff Nudge". She also did a fine short back and sides (eyebrow trim too). Sometimes in wee mini skirt, sometimes leggings and sometimes jeans or Daisy Dukes. But the haircut in the perfectly-lowered-into-position chair always involved a fair few moments where her muff lightly nudged or sometimes firmly pressed or even ground against the back of my head. It would occassionally be done to the side of the head too. There really was no need professionally to do it or be that close. She was an absolute Minx, a real chatterbox, a great sense of humour, had a fine slender form and was very easy on the eye. I used to get boned up something terrible. I remember one time when she whipped the barber gown/ cape off me at thend and thank fuck all of the buttons on my 501 flies were done up or I might have knocked something over when I stood up.

I moved out to the sticks about twenty years back.... but that Barber's Shop on Leith Walk is all I miss of Auld Reekie. I knew other guys who went there as well and we never went for a haircut. We always went for "The Muff Nudge". Nothing ever came of it but it was an incredibly fine way to get your hair cut. We were all heavy tippers.

Yeh this topic hits the spot. In recent years i've taken to watching youtube videos of haircuts to make me sleepy, asmr style, no chat just scissors and clippers, I find it uber relaxing.
