London

We are planning a trip to Scotland for a few days and will be going to this party for the first time on 28 Aug. We have no idea how it is going to be so can someone let us know what to expect on that day? And also if anyone else is attending to the cj party on 28th Aug please feel free to send us a message

Central Borders

You're a bit early, roll call for 14th August is doing the rounds just now

No doubt you'll love it. Staff are fantastic, people are really friendly and easy going. I'd go without expectations though, just enjoy a good night out and see what happens x

Thanks for the reply. The actual problem is the age and we might be the only youngest couple in the crowd. I hope our age won’t bother to other guests.

Your ages aren’t a problem and I wouldn’t bet on you being the youngest there.

There obviously are older people there like ourselves and older still, lol, but there is also quite a few younger.

Hope you have a great time and experience at CJ’s when the time comes.

xx

Please excuse my ignorance folks.

I’ve never been to CJ’s but am hoping to go with a female friend at some point over the next few months.

Would I be right in thinking it’s open every Saturday night?

Great to be back again after such a long time. When you walk in wearing a facemask and the door staff welcome you by your first name you know you're back home!

Lovely to catch up with old friends, and to meet (and play with!) some new ones. Thank you also to those who put on some fantastic depraved entertainment in the open rooms

There's not really any way to be careful, other than to be double vaccinated and don't attend if you're showing symptoms. Unfortunately, the nature of playing means you're in very close contact. Those who attend, do so knowing we run that particular risk. Those who aren't willing to take the risk are staying away, until they feel comfortable. It's up to each individual to judge what is acceptable for them.

Well thankfully I’m double vacc but still immune suppressed and will be for some time, because of treatment damage and infection to my chest and throat I’m also unable to wear a mask ! Turns out wearing masks all day poses increased risk of viral throat and sinus problems but I have to say all the precautions in place I’m happy with, unfortunately with high school kids at home that in itself poses a far greater risk in my opinion, so poor kids and myself are having daily covid tests, I’m done with lockdown but like everything in life there’s always a risk there’s that one person who doesn’t care about how their actions will affect others but the more responsible ones do what we can ourselves

I completely agree. We need to start living our lives again. You know, more than most, how important it is to enjoy every moment of our lives. I would rather say I went out, enjoying and living my life, than staying cooped up in the house, scared to live, for fear of germs xx

No, masks aren't required. Again, it's up to each person to weigh up their risks. So, if they don't feel comfortable with that, I would imagine they just choose to attend at a later date xx

There were a number of folk who didn’t take their masks off though when there was more people around tbh and when they were spectating etc so it’s not like the whole place was wandering around not wearing masks and all the staff wore masks or were behind screens all night and I did see folk using the sanitisers all night but tbh apart from those who actually indulged in play there wasn’t that much difference to the amount of social distancing as the nightclubs although less physical exertion less hard breathing singing shouting etc anyhow Sunday and Monday lateral flow both completed and both neg so I’m pretty happy everyone in attendance has been responsible enough to have only attended because they were positive that they were not exposing anyone unnecessary

Look at little miss you, good on you.

We only did ours this morning but we are both negative also.

As stated above and numerous times before, there is a small risk socialising at CJ's but there's a risk in everything just to varying degrees.

The sanitisers are ample used, can even attest that the lube was used a couple times unaware in place of sanitiser. Needless to say it was a bit of a sticky moment

Every 2nd day for me, and going through sanitiser like it's water.

Aiming to get out after my reatment is finished, so still a few weeks off.

Hope to meet you at CJ's one day.

Thank you for the offer, but I'm not really going anywhere right now. Erring on the side of caution. Hospital has been the furthest I've been going anywhere and walking some of it to avoid crowded buses.

I'll be in Glasgow soon enough, my treatment only has about 8 weeks to go, and then it's just about me being sensible going forward for a while.
