Glasgow

So as you may be able to see from my latest photo I've finally found a spot for outdoor swimming near Glasgow. Apart from dipping into the Clyde once it cleans up down Clydebank way, does anyone have any other recommendations for good spots?

N.B. Wasn't nude swimming this time, but recommendations discreet spots would also be welcome.

Fantasyland

I swam and sunbathed naked at Loch Chon at the weekend - kayaking to West Bank as this is far enough not to be intrusive to others

Yeah, I suppose "outdoor swimmimg" includes lidos and popular beaches. I probably should have titles the thread "wild swimming."

Does it get cleaner near Clydebank? Not if you see all the crap deposited at times near Erskine Bridge

Yes and no. Strictly speaking, from Glasgow Green westward, is the Clyde estuary. But Clydebank's where I feel it starts feeling like an inlet of the sea.
