ok folks - under 9 weeks away - seems ages but will be on us before you know it - so get booked come on payup those that have said they want to come.

as some may know or not know, due to my wee t,i,a ad also alot of people on here we know have had strokes,

we have decided,

that any money that we make from social,

we will doating it to ayr hospital stroke unit,

we are not begging for people to donate,

just something myself and jan want to do as feel its inportant to help others,

as this sure put the shitters up me and made me think how lucky some people are and how unfortunate others are,

if you want to donate, we will have a charity box at this event,,,,, THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE FOR THE SUPPORT IN AYRSHIRE SOCIALS,,,,,,

Very sensible. It's a shame there's an element of "bawbag" that disheartens organisers, spoils others socialising, not to mention their finances. Perhaps a word of warning than any questions about the venue & facilities should ONLY be directed via the organisers.

yes we are going ahead with this no mater what as so many ppl have paid and are looking forward to it. Even if we are out of pocket we will try our best to make it a good SOCIAL evening for chatting, laughing, dancing, having a drink and some food - defo NO PLAYING - never should be at a social anyway.

Have noticed more ppl are mailing us direct than puttings names in here that is fine - we wont release the name of ppl going unless they openly do so themselves.

Reminder venue will only be given out the night before the event so please dont ask as you wont be told. And for those that think you no - no you dont lol.

so please do not advertise something that you dont not know any details of the place its behing held, as no one knows where it is,,,,,Think your being pretty unfair here all the guy was doing was offering people somewhere to stay after the social

dont think its unfair as they have put a fair point across that he doesn`t know where it is being held,and as it`s there thread have a right to put point across, to many people jump in when it has nothing to do with them

The guy stays in Ayrshire the social is in Ayrshire all he was doing was offering anyone attending the social accomodation AFTER the social nothing was mentioned about playing at the social.

We were just really making a point -

1. yes he has offered to accom ppl although we have said it is Ayr he is in Kilmarnock and depending on where the venue is in Ayr and where he lives in Kilmarnock it is defo more than 15 mins away.

2. He actually does not mention social he mentions meet.

3. His name was not even down to go to the social

We were not having a go just pointing out a few things trying to keep ppl safe

We were not going to be doing a charity one but decided to donate anything left to charity and have now also been given a nice prize so will be doing a raffle - there are only one or two prizes as we have not asked ppl this time but still hope to raise a wee bit of money
