Had it happen so often I’ve always turned up even if I’ve had something f come up I’ll at least try to stop by and say hi and bye

Folk that do this usually have no intention of meeting anyway if we're being honest.

It's happened to Me in the past, but I learnt from it. Now there's certain things I ask for before agreeing to meet, if they wont agree to them then I wont agree to a meet.

It's another reason I wont meet unverified by meeting people.

No danger I'd head off to meet someone unverified, and defo not at a meeting place that wasnt an address..

A good rule of thumb on fab is assume everyone is a fake/fantasist/timewaster until they demonstrate their not

Unfortunately there's a lot of fakes around. Thankfully we've never had this happen to us but we do a bit of work before agreeing to a meet to ensure everyone exists and is genuine and it pays off. If it means we miss out on possible meets because we don't trust profiles that are new or haven't had any meets yet then so be it, there's still plenty of genuine people on the site.

sounds like you got stung by a fake/timewaster im afraid mate. Some of them are convincing in communications. I've been caught out in the past, im sure most folks have.

not verified? = no meet

wont share face pic? = no meet

wont give out number = no meet

no address? = no meet

go quiet on messages in the lead up to a meet, and/or dont login the day before/on the day = no meet.

the signs are usually there and easy enough to spot once you been stung in the past, block them and move on is my advice

You do know people are perfectly entitled to change their mind...

Maybe you said something to put them off, maybe they got cold feet, maybe they felt under too much pressure, maybe they got a better offer.

It happens. Move on. Get over it.

Remember that the problem isn't always the other person.

Look at your selection criteria, look at the type of meet you're arranging, are you being a bit desperate because you're only engaging your cock?

It has been very difficult times for us all at the mo, I can understand people being a wee bit nervous about meeting and dating again, I know I am, it may just take a wee while to get that confidence back

Op you just have to bug and bare it… and try to vet them to the nth degree thats how i ve learned… theres lots of red flags…

Example couple contact me (first red flag)

Chatted for a few days then they where quiet pushy in wanting to arrange a meet (2nd red flag)

They sent me the address to meet them which was close by so not to far out my way. When i arrived i got a pic on snapchat saying they where having dinner to wait (rude but not quiet a flag) then after 20 mins of waiting contact again this time by just the husband asking to meet outside for a bi meet… nothing was arranged for a bi meet didnt even stipulated the requirement on there profile… tried to phone through Snapchat to discuss by this time its 45mins so getting annoyed…

Eventually drove home and found a txt saying that the mrs had to go to work… (3rd red flag)

But this is from a verified couple profile… so even with chat pic exchange face time calls it can all be a set up for them not to show, get cold feet, change there mind etc happens just need thick skin…

Thats why my prefernece is to chat to folk at a club and then play rather than have my time wasted by dreamers on the internet which there are loads

All that's fine if they have the decency to message beforehand and say the meets off.

But this guy drove 45mns to get rubbered, no comms, just stood up and that is not on. X
