Although there will be some that this applies to I tend to disagree!

I used fab for years and had a number of verifications. I came off last year as life in general was all a bit mental. I rejoined recently and put in my profile that I had been on before etc etc.

I’m not away to contact people I met previously for them to verify me again, if our paths crossed perhaps I would but not out of the blue.

I have a similar outlook. I could go hunting for people I met 3+ years ago and ask them to verify me again, but they'd be verifying based on ancient history. I could be a timewaster now, 12 stone heavier than I was then. So I've preferred not to advertise the previous profiles and will only show verifications based on recent meets on this profile.
