This is probably a stupid question but what does it mean when someone says that there professional or looking for someone that's professional?

Theres no strict definition, I think what they're looking for are people with a perceived level of intelligence or want to portray themselves in a certain light.

This topic has come up loads of times before and it can get pretty heated.

'professionals think they're better than other people', 'Am no intelligent but ave got a profesional joab' 'They're just snobs' etc etc.

Truth is, I consider myself a professional but I've never looked at anyones profile and though, 'they're not professional, I'm not getting in touch with them'

Here was me thinking that "professionals" on Fab were hookers or rent boys. Certainly know of one female and one couple that charge - all politely dressed up of course as "helping with the babysitter money"

I've met a "fussy, ohh im so fussy", which is kinda a "message limiter" too, still see "Fussy", shes great fun, great company.

Unclear on what stating "professional" is meant to do really.

you see it in the personals. "professional gent/lady wltm..." Traditionally, certain occupations were regarded as professions - like lawyers, bankers, insurers, teachers, accountants, surgeons. Wtf any of that has to do with swinging beats me. I mean there are tossers in all walks of life just like there are real gems tno. Don't think size of pay packet is an issue to me.

There are people on here who are members of one of the recognised professions, but you'll find that most of them don't see any reason to mention it.

But I have to say that I'm always wary of these 'professional' profiles, you usually find that they're the ones who are so far up they're own whatsits.......!!
