lol we once lived on arran for over a year and we hadnt even heard of it until now..

Been an official one for years and been there loads of times. Also is an official one in Fifie, I believe, or so someone I met there said.

Cleats is definitely NOT worth the ferry fare, so don't all rush lolol

Lived on Arran for 8 years and never really heard much about it. People sort of knew it was there, but nobody actually went.

born n bred there but no one used it lol , one in ardeer at stevenstone also lol there are loads around scotland

Wife is Arran born n bred. We talked about it often but the locals would spot the car etc lol. Ferry fare is no that bad IF yer there for a few days - plenty of golf courses, a spa resort, distillery, brewery, campsites hotels etc. Some very accomodating people on Arran.

I went to Arran when I was 10.. would love to go back

Cleats and Ardeer are the only official public beaches in Scotland. There are other beaches where nudism is tolerated. Inchmurrin is a private club. Ardeer is the beach for fun in the right weather.

I have visited Cleat’s Shore a few times to enjoy some naturism, but on all my visits I have been the only person on the beach. Mr J.

It's one of the worst beaches on the island, with the cattle being fed on the sand and rotten sea everywhere.

I do go there but at least, as you say, you will have the whole place to yourself, usually!

You haven't been looking in the right places, lol. The Scottish Outdoor Club has been there for half a century...Scotland's biggest naturist club. And they are looking for new members.

There's no missing anyone on that beach lol. It's in the middle of nowhere, with a long bumpy track in and only one place to park cars. Only once ever has there been a naturist there and he was appalled he'd bothered to go. Sad, really.
