Name two bands criminally underrated but you are secretly glad that they are not known to millions

One rule:

One band must be Scottish

My Scottish band is simply legendary- The Blue Nile

My other band are an incredible trio from Houston Texas- Kings X

Good shout on Kings X. Fell of my radar. Bounce back Living Color for the same reasons.

I saw CUD many moons ago supporting The Spin Doctors at Glasgow Barrowland - think the general view of the crowd towards them was one of hurry up and get off

Saint phnx

Not so much under rated but more fell off the radar - The fratelis. Not done anything new for a while but seem to be pushing a swing/jazz feel to their songs now.

Check out "yes sir I can boogie" and 'Chelsea dagger" from the Chris Evans breakfast show.. sheer class

Scottish - Nazareth, not underrated as such, but pretty unappreciated in their own country - Worldwide - Grand Funk Railroad.

Good call OP on the Blue Nile.

We’ll go for Belle and Sebastian (we are closet west end wannabe hipsters) and the Charlatans who seem to have just disappeared.

Too many under rated bands kinda bigger ones maybe mudhoney, asian kung fu generation…..

For a Scottish one, I’ll choose one that is still going as people might give them a listen, Vukovi.

Marmalade. Hendrix loved them, but that's no big deal in my book.

Michael Marra. To bring some much needed acoustic sounds and wise words to dilute the rock noise and gibberish.
