I am absolutely sick to death of fakes on this website. It’s getting ridiculous now, even the verifications are fake.

So, whilst I’m absolutely fuming, they say misery loves company so give me your best catfish stories…

There are a lot of disgruntled people on this site. People who seem to think they are somehow entitled to replies, to attention and to time or meets.

I don't know about anyone else but I do judge on how people look, just as I expect to be judged on mine. Why would you meet someone you don't fancy? Why would you want someone to meet you if they aren't attracted to you?

If I'm chatting with someone and they say or do something that puts me off then it's my perogative to change my mind , just as it would be theirs.

I will never understand why people get upset about that.

The biggest problem most have is their own expectations. It's not instashag. Your £5 subscription isn't to guarantee you a meet. Not everyone will want you. Not everyone will be as turned on by the 8 photos of your cock and nothing else in the way you might be.

Just because someone has a profile on here and is online, doesn't mean they want to meet, nor does it mean that they have to reply.

Just because you're a couple with 20 pics and verifications doesn't make you better than anyone else.

Just because I'm a woman doesn't make me better either.

I do get were you are coming from, also from a photo or txt or video or phone chat, you don't really know about there personality or gsoh, I have known folks that might not right away fancy. But as time they fall for personality and whit, plus lots of folk arr different I bedroom all full of surprises

I would class the use of images not of the person as an indicator of a fake profile.

There's one nearby, pops up occasionally with exactly same profile but pictures are of East European lingerie model.

There has always been fakes on here just be smart headed listen to your gut feelings and if it looks too good to be true then it's probably fake, I've learnt lots over the years and tend to not let my guard down until I know some is 100% real

reluctance to have a video chat rumbles fakes like a charm. setting up a call is straight forward with most genuine folks and tends to occur in a reasonable time period. If the email discussions are protracted and/or cagey, we move on... so momentum is something we sense...

So, I just want to clarify why I initially posted this in the forums. I’ve chatted to a good couple of “women” on this site who have had verifications from others and turned out to be fake.

My usual step after chatting for a while is to go to Snapchat. After adding these “women” on Snapchat they’ve proceeded to send me a picture of “themselves” from their camera roll instead of actually taking a current picture. The usual go to excuse is “Oh, I’ve just downloaded this and don’t know how to use it.” Although the account was created in 2019… One actually sent me a picture of “them self” on a computer screen, the guy was visible in the reflection

So, whilst the fakes are infuriating, the people who give fake verifications are just as bad if not worse and allow this to continue. I just wanted a place to vent and to share my experiences. I imagine that men seem to encounter this problem more often than women as we’re seen as easier targets given that the majority of us will shag anything with a pulse in desperation

I can assure you, I’m certainly aware I’m not entitled to meet anyone. I’ve been on here long enough to know that…

Change your selection process rather than trying to get others to change thiers.

For me personally, snap chat is for kid's.

Just ask to speak to them.

I’ve had my pics copied and used at least twice that I know of to set up fake profiles. Fortunately Fab friends told me about them and they were removed.

If it’s happened to me it’s no doubt happened to several other people. So be careful when people make accusations about setting up fake profiles. It’s sometimes done without their knowledge.

I usually spend time chatting and arrange to meet socially so that usually helps to out the time wasters. You’ll get more experienced at sussing out the fakes.

I don’t give out Snapchat as has my real name on it and is part of my email address and some other sites I am not sharing with anyone til I know who I’m chatting with (music and social media sites you filthy buggers).

I hate phone calls so I’m most certainly not about to have a video chat. I will eventually give my number out and chat via WhatsApp, but not allowing a random stranger off the internet personal details doesn’t make me a fake.

I have been called such in some rather colourful ways here however, for not wanting to meet some people and I’ve been called worse.

I don’t know those who have been nasty in refusal messages, so I tend to just block and move on.

I did turn up to meet a guy once at Starbucks or costa, who may well have been the man in the photos he sent, but the photos were so old the resemblance wasn’t apparent.

I don’t understand why people can’t be honest in their pics.

Not a single one of mine have been doctored in any way because I don’t want whoever I choose to meet, be disappointed when they see me, so why would someone set themselves up for failure that way? It baffles me.
