I've had both jabs.... Personal choice so I can go abroad and hug my mum after 15, months of being unable to do.. But even I am very cynical over this as during elections both England and Scotland put this on the back burner despite it being a concern pre election... I smell a rat and am now at point where I'm saying.. Fuck your rules i complied since March 20 and now your taking the piss UK and scotgov parties

Didn't have any plans but people being urged not to travel to Glasgow but you will always have rule breakers who won't adhere to this.

Wasn't planning on going to the city any time soon. I think it's a shame locking down the city. Ridiculous that they can't just have a localised lockdown in both Pollokshields and Easterhouse but no, wee nippy has got to make all of Glasgow suffer

It’s a shame that 2 areas in the GCC catchment have seen a rise in cases which is leading to the restrictions remaining across Glasgow, maybe the local politician for the area should go to these areas directly and see what can be done to bring cases down who’s the politician for the south side?

Or alternatively its Lots of Football fans and anti immigration enforcement crowds ignoring the rules and forcing further restrictions on the rest of the city. Two ways to look at most things

what has football fans got to do with it ? where have there been big gatherings in the last 2 weeks ? How many deaths has there been ? will we have to go into lockdown with every variant even though there isn't a death rate ? We need to move on from this and I also feel it is totally political.

I take it you didn't see the fans that "broke in" to Ibrox or the 100's that marched to George Square and wrecked it? I presume you also haven't seen the plans for those same fans to march again this weekend? All in breach of the regulations

Let’s also not forget Johnson’s quest for a brexit trade deal allowing numerous flights from India to land on these shores for weeks before finally realising he’s fucked up again.

Were there any flights from India into scottish airports? If there were then Sturgeon could have stopped it. I'm no fan of Boris but not everything can be laid at his feet.

"we cant understand letting people go on holiday or people in to the country .

this is what I see as a problem.

Letting people go on holiday...

I don't need or seek permission from some numpty dictating what they believe is right.

My biggest concern at the moment isn't covid it's that I don't believe the politicians will won't to give their perceived new powers back. I say perceived because a high percentage of the population just blindly follow anything said.

its the reason I always say I make my choices and not follow orders from politicians.

These shores refer to the UK, was Scottish airports mentioned specifically ?

The Brit Gov failure to deal with by stoping flights coming in across U.K. airports is responsible

The Brit Gov failed to take action

The blame is firmly with Boris Johnson and his ministers

If you’re unsure/confused as to what your level is there is a postcode checker on the Scottish GOV website

most of the time i wouldn’t buy into this - then last night i looked at the tiers, and even tier zero which still has no nightclubs, no adult entertainment, restrictions on numbers for weddings and funeral and people in stadiums so presumably other types of events where multiple people are all piled into one place like concerts/ possibly even training courses exams etc

if we dont go back to normal at tier zero when the hell do we ?

Classic public health response - get the politicians down to halt the spread.

Should be cleared up by Monday.

Cleared up by Monday is a bit optimistic maybe Wednesday. But seriously what’s the point in having elected officials for areas and they don’t visit them in times like this they voted for them maybe in turn they’ll listen to them if the visited once in a while.

yes , we haven’t gone back yet just not allowed to move down to tier 2 , but looking at the graph of the numbers you might wanna get out this weekend as the trend is steeply up and if we hit the number threshold we will go into tier 4 which is think is back to all hospitality and non essential shops closed

The whole thing is a complete and utter nonsense.

The sooner the politicians get rid of the so called 'experts' and start running the country as their supposed to, the better.

The recent snooker was held inside, with a full audience, yet Scottish football is still devoid of supporters on an open terrecing?? Crazy

Now the Scottish Cup Final has been barred from having the previously planned supporters at the last minute, and bars and hotels have wasted ill-afforded money on staff, and fresh food which will have to be thrown away. And wee Nic calls it "a bump on the road"

Each of the 4 nations were given responsibilities for flights. That was the problem as you had 4 different sets of rules. If it had been a single policy where everyone worked together instead of going in opposite directions then it might have worked. I did a quick check online and it is possible to fly next week from Glasgow to India. It's not a direct route but there are stops in the EU bat you can get there and, presumably, get back.
