Suggest you attend a social or two, they are great ways to start chatting and by turning up at a social you are can show you are genuinely interested in meeting.

I am sure lots of people in Perth meet just because they are not meeting you does not mean then do not.

As for not talking to single blokes, many do not want to meet so probably look at it as a waste of time, some get too many messages from single blokes so unless you stand out you are probably going to be overlooked and SOME are down right rude x
