Following on from the rant thread, thought it might be an idea to say (rant if you like), what things people do that make you smile. For about 18 months pretty much since lockdown started, i always pass this paper girl every morning, on my way to work, out early every morning, in all sorts of weather, and we have had a tough winter, just makes me smile in the morning, don't know why. Ok over to you smiley lot

I’ve not had much to smile about over the past wee while. But meeting and reconnecting with friends has been great for improving my state of mind. The sun has also had a positive effect on my mood.

I saw my parents two weeks ago for the first time in 5 months and I'm seeing them again for lunch next week. Happy days! X

Seeing my little one start to plan sleepovers and birthday parties with all her friends at school.

Lockdowns been tough for us adults but it's also been hard on kids.

Just seeing her face light up with all these plans really makes my day

Seen an old couple in tesco today walking around holding hands, reminded me of the old couple in UP, made me happy and put a smile on my face

"I'm off work on Monday "

Same here. As ever, I forgot* and the boss reminded me yesterday. A little bonus surprise.

Don't tell my English colleagues that we also get the second January day. Boss turns a blind eye.

I have so many things to be happy and grateful for. Yes of course there are worries too but I prefer to focus on the positives
