England will allow socialising of two households indoors on May 17th, hopefully that means Scotland won't be far behind....hopefully that means meets can resume

Think if your still 2 metres apart and the windows are open it’s fine as long as your wrapped up well

Not sure I will feel safe unless I see a negative Covid test.

I'm not going to be socialising in anyone's house for a long time and that includes my parents. I'd rather wait until I've had my two vaccinations and even then I'll wait a while after that. Better being safe than sorry x

Really????? I don't know what you're on.

It's a very sensible and considered measure, I agree it's better to be safe than sorry.

Agree with this. When I feel it is safe, I will see family and close friends, no plans to meet up in close proximity with strangers for a long, long time (if ever)

I imagine the poster is aware of this, given the statement that they will wait a while after their second vaccination - I presume to allow for other people to also have their vaccinations.

As for the "Get a life" comment above - That's no very nice! Please also be aware that a percentage of patients with covid infections have reported gastrointestinal symptoms, and therefore it may be transmitted via a fecal-oral route.

I'm not going to rise to the one comment of "get a life". That would be ridiculous of me to do that as I don't argue with people like that on here. Thank you to the two people on here who have supported what I said. I'm only keeping myself, family and other people safe after all x

I’m lucky that most of my immediate family are within walking distance and as time goes on we will happily celebrate birthdays, have afternoon teas etc outdoors so we can celebrate together - any excuse for a bbq (even if we are wearing hats and scarfs)

Think the point is they are actively preserving their life by reducing their risk of contracting a potentially deadly virus.. or did I miss something?

No need for remarks like this, what people do is their personal choice and it should be respected.

Negative covid test is like a MOT test it's only valid at the time it was taken. You could catch it 5 minutes later...

Staying safe should be the consideration in all circumstances, even without covid. Can't believe that anyone can be critical of you for that. People eh!
