Falkirk

Makes it even the more frustrating when the commentators insist on calling Team GB "England"

They have called the team 'England' a lot in the football. Give's us a lot of hope for the commentwealth games in 2014 and hopefully team Scotland in 2016.

Did you take it up with the BBC then? I take it that it was the BBC commentators your on about? They do take this complaints seriously.

Best bit of these Olympics was on BBC Newcastle radio station today, we were on the A1 and the presenter shouts

"Another Gold for England"

Then spent the next 5 mins backtracking by constantly naming team GB and the home nations lol

All these people saying well done to the scots athletes etc, divided as nations we would be nowhere near the top of overall medal winners but collectively we are third, behind USA and China, I think that is pretty good going

I have watched a lot of the Olympics and have not seen them say anything other than Team GB.

The crowds have been unbelievable in supporting every athlete who are competing, and I bet they don't give a toss which part of the GB they come from.

Great medal tally up to now, well done wherever part of the country you come from

I've always said that if there was a competition for "Most jingoistic and ignorant commentators", the BBC would sweep the board!
