How on earth can people still vote for the SNP?

And Ian Blackford is always banging on in Westminster about an independent Scotland in the EU, it's impossible for a country, any country, to be independent in the EU. Independence is an anathema to the whole EU philosophy.

And as for the Covid vaccine rollout? Well, it basically hasn't, it's become a complete shambles, which the SNP government would probably be quite comfortable with, as their policies are a complete shambles too.

Reading various platforms not only tonight but in the lead up to this apparent outcome it's startling how many folk are so eager to brush it aside in their quest to escape the liars, thieves and scoundrels of Westminster that they continue with their unwavering and quite frankly fanatical support of this liar, thief and scoundrel.

We've been told by Nats for years that Sturgeon and SNP were different. A shining paragon of virtue in the murky political world. Yet here we are, shamed and outed as a liar yet still the fanatical support.

Scotland deserves better than this. If we were ever to become an independent nation we can't be led towards it by a liar, by someone who will so willingly shit on her friend to get what she wants. How can we ever trust the say so of someone so intent that she will tread on whoever and whatever to get her way?

We deserve better and she has to go.

I will continue to vote SNP because I want an independent Scotland - simple as that. The thought of continually be ruled by Boris, someone who I feel is the most incompetent useless politician of our generation, quite frankly scares me.

But I will admit Nicola is in serious trouble. Last nights leak of the committee vote which states that they believe Nicola did not do an accurate account was expected to happen- the Tories and Labour are obviously teaming up to put as much pressure on Nicola before the elections- that’s politics- that’s the nature of the beast.

The question we now need to ask is who are you going to vote for in the elections?

Tories - lead by Ruth Davidson who is buggering off to the gravy train that is the House of Lords and Douglas Ross who just seems to worship everything Boris says

Labour - now lead by a multi millionaire whose companies were investigated for not paying sweatshop workers the minimum wage

SNP - I still feel they are the best option out of the three - Nicola may need to fall on her sword and if thats the case I can’t see Alex returning as it will cause too much internal strife- Swinney is not leadership material - I would be hoping that Angus Robertson would get a seat then I think that the party would say to Nicola you’ve been amazing but you are damaged goods Angus you’re the man

For all the folk screaming for Sturgeon to go, where were your screams when Boris, Patel & Handcock etc all breached the WM ministerial code, some on several occasions. No political party is perfect but I HATE the selective cherry picking of morals from both sides of the political spectrum, both unionist & nationalists.

I’m not loyal to any party but it’s plainly obvious to me & I think a growing number of people that WM are shit scared of the thought of an independent Scotland & this is reflected in the outpouring of anti Scottish government coverage in the unionist MSM, Daily Mail, Express etc, with an almost daily attack on their front pages of Sturgeon & the SNP.

This could backfire in the Scottish election in May, I know a lot of friends & family who were overtly against independence in 2014 but have now changed their minds completely after Brexit.

Of course Scotland could be independent, and survive as a nation. But would it be better off within the uk is the real question? In the real world larger countries have the power... in negotiating trade deals, being able to deal with economic shocks, etc. Independence would be like Brexit for the UK, but worse.

Cannot understand how Nationalist like the idea of being "ruled" from Brussels, but not from Westminster.... illogical and based on childish emotions.

As said already, what's to decide,? since being " dragged out of Europe " is the basis of your argument for a 2nd ref .

It's either , independence and government by Brussels or keep the status quo, you can't argue both .
