Out of curiosity for the ladies.

By show of hands how many of you would be up for a wee day bushcrafting as a social meet to get to know someone??

It wouldn't be an overnight camp,

Just a day in the woods.

Show you how to build a tarp shelter.

Best ways to build and maintain a campfire.

How to light a fire etc.

Make a cuppa or two and basically just relax and chill out.

Not everyone's idea of a social but not everyone is the same

I'm sure a previous fab member done this before but forgot to bring the female back from the woods so it's probably frowned upon now

I've done it live not playing campsites in the woods and believe me it's the furthest thing from fun possible I will stick with a hotel and WiFi.

I would say that was more of a date day to be honest rather than a social. I love campfires on a beach sitting by the water. But that is something I'd do with friends or someone I'd already been seeing as more than friends

As a first meet, no, from a safety point of view initial meets are always in a public place where there are plenty of people around.

But if it was someone I'd already met for a social, & who I felt comfortable I'd be safe with, then it certainly sounds more interesting than some other socials I've been on.

Forget this building shelters pish

Tell them you will teach them how to make chocolate cake in the woods, milk a cow for making cream and carve a bowl and spoon to eat said cake and trust me mate , they will be forming a disorderly queue from their house to any forest of your choosing. Especially if its called black forest

How do you check out a random guy from a swingers site ?

If it was my daughter I'd hope like me she would have the sense to say no .

I dont think there would be many who would be happy with their daughter agreeing to meeting some random guy off the Internet in such circumstances .

Always meet in a safe public place first then if happy to meet under the ops suggestions thats totally upto them to make that decision

I think this has been taken out of context an OP was merely asking if anyone, preferably a female was into these types of activities.

to which I can reply yes, I like camping and bush craft types activities.

a stranger alone in the woods, hmm not so much, I'd need to get to know someone first before I would consider it and preferably in a group setting rather than alone first.

maybe open up the social to a group of mixed folk and after a typical club/bar social

Being a wine connoisseur I have a well stocked wine cellar (below ground and sound proofed obviously). Any ladies (or group bookings) are more than welcome for a wine tasting class.

Evening wear (and lace lingerie) dress code required.

I happen to like bushcraft and nothing nicer than a lovely woodland area, in a hammock looking up at the stars, though this time of year might not be as comfortable but with the right layers in its kinda fun.

I actually teach this stuff as part of my job as a forest school trainer.

However I wouldn't go off with a complete stranger, but if the right person, and we chatted met first in a public place a few times then sure..

It's actually a very nice thought and I am sure OP meant well it's very good for mental health and a change of scenery..
