"I think it might depend on what you consider romantic. I think a lot of people, men and women, equate romance with some old fashioned ideas of chivalry, love and permanency, which can grate against the idea of feminism and female autonomy. And if you introduce romance into this type of swinging environment, some people may read it as one party looking more long term at the encounter. However I think the two can exist together so long as there is clear conversation about expectations and boundaries.
