I saw a thread about Scottish icons a couple of weeks ago when a bit d*unk I decided to but a triple album by frankie miller I knew he sang a bit years ago but not much more

I've loved music all my life and listened to it all but I can honestly say I fucked up by missing this guy who is a Glasgow boy he has to be the greatest singer we produced better than Jim Kerr and Alex harvey and it may hurt some people but better than steak and kidney who my granny loved lol

You could buy a box set of his first five albums for about a tenner in HMV. There's a three CD set with other groups singing his songs (like Fish, Nazareth, Claire Grogan, Hue and Cry, Billy Connolly etc) that's worth getting. Songs are brilliant.
