Innocent it was stockyman who has confessed and its shocking when you find out who it is. It’s a absolute joke his concivction and how his mother lives is shocking wether her son is or isn’t a killer that woman is serving worse than a jail sentence what kind of life is that to live what a shame for her shame on the people tormenting her

There’s not been any proof or evidence of him doing weird or sick things. The James English podcasts go into it in more detail than the documentary

i live in the area. i will admit the documentary does show a case for lukes innocence and that is because the show is seen from lukes eyes. yet it is still a raw feelings in the area.after only seeing the first show there is as much left out that was in the trial. they only focussed on lukes points and not the whole picture of the crime.

Grew up in the area and will say only this...

Much more to the story than was in this one sided, biased documentary

Police in the area were less than discreet with information surrounding the case. This led to loads in the area being “in the know” and adding their own spin on the Chinese whispers. Lots of misinformation

Looking at Facebook this last couple of nights I see everyone that was suddenly experts in immunology, epidemiology and virology are now also experts in forensics, criminal law and police investigation techniques since they’ve watched 120 minutes of one sided tv which barely scratches the surface.

I genuinely don’t think we’ll ever know the truth

Oh and stocky man? Many think it’s this one guy who I’m not gonna name although clearly it’s all over the internet, but I wonder about Robert Greens who lived in the area at the time... could he be stockyman if Mitchell is actually innocent?

I couldn’t say for definite if he was framed or not but Luke was not someone I’d want any female in my family around. I was aware off him cause he used to threaten folk with his knife.

Doubt we will ever see any other outcome to this case.

The key issue should be whether there was evidence 'beyond reasonable doubt' to convict him and there doesn't appear to have been.

The documentary first episode was good. Thought they might have balanced it up with why he was found guilty from the other side in the second episode. It definitely throws doubts over the whole thing though

Its a tough one to call as noone knows the absolute true facts it seems. Loose lips and Chinese whispers will always happen in such a high profile case.

The only fact that is true is that Jodi didn't deserve that in any shape or form.

His mother is suffering the same fate as the mother of the monster in Bute. They dont deserve to be punished in any manner.

Just watched it. Utter amateur hour. So much so the second episode has been pulled already for being naughty.

Look up the PI's on Google and convince me of their credibility.

The highest judges, lasers and police officers in the land have poured over this case for years but Joe public is now convinced of LM's innocence after a couple of hours watching Channel 5

It was removed because the person they believe is the new prime suspect was visible on the laptop when they done the summing up. Seemingly there was legal action taken before the programme aired so that this persons name was not to be mentioned due to mental health issues.

Apparently it's the brother of that poor girl that done it. And if that's the case you have got to think the family must have known something if not at the time certainly later!! Poor lad has done 17 years in jail for something he clearly should never have been convicted for.

The documentary was completely biased the trial lasted 42 days and he has lost numerous appeals. He was defended by top Lawyer Donald Finlay who left no stone unturned and yet the Jury gave a guilty verdict.

Not only was the top detectives involved in this case, but they also asked for help from the FBI. I personally know people how were interviewed by them. For me yes he was guilty. As for his mum yes I feel sorry for her. She is defending her sons actions as any parent would do and doesn't deserve what's happened to her. I live local to the family business and have spoken to her a few times over the years. The women looks like the world has swolled her up.

Glasgow serious crime cops planted evidence in a case I was involved in 2003, fortunately jury didn’t buy it. But they are very capable of getting the blinkers on and making it fit. Don’t blindly trust the cunts!

As for what I think regarding a young lad at 14 leaving NO forensic evidence whatsoever - No chance, career criminals wouldn’t even be that good at that age. Heart breaking for his poor wee mum, I hope she sees the lad out before she goes.

He is guilty. This documentary and a podcast that are out are presenting a very one sided version of events. There is a summary available online of the court case that convivted him. An innocent person would be able to explain where their knife had disappeared to, where their parka had disappeared to and why their own brother pointed out their alibi was a lie. Why hasn't he explained any of that?

Guilty as sin and one of the most biased programs I have seen about this type of thing.

There was enough evidence all pointing in his direction, which they chose not to show. It wasn’t a documentary it was a free luke Mitchell campaign video

TBF they never said they were attempting to remain impartial.

But even for a one sided doc it was unbelievably shit. They've wheeled out the biggest bunch of charlatans ever looking to make a quick buck over the death of an innocent girl.

Sandra Lean attaches herself to anything she can make money out of. It's notable that outside LM, she has campaigned on behalf of four other 'innocent' murderers - 2 of which have confessed and I think another couple committed suicide in prison.

The two cops promoting their PI business was laughably bad and their experiment with the car even more embarrassing. Would have been nice had they given details about why they weren't police officers any more

What's worse is that a significant majority of viewers lapped it all up!
