Any swinger's from shetland?

Thinking of moving to the island, had enough where I am now and want a complete change of pace

Would love to have a chat, find out how you find day to day life, is there much of a swinging scene.

Not on Shetland, so I can't say for sure, but have experienced a bit of island life in the past & because of that I'd say that the swinging scene up there is probably pretty limited (not least because of everyone knowing everyone else's business! & if they don't know they often make it up! )

I did a quick search for profiles and the numbers are limited, I've always been a quality over quantity kind of guy.

Island life has always appealed to me though

Well Shetland life is as remote as you will get my late hubby was from there and its a close knit community, alot does happen but it worth visiting before deciding you could permantly live there, still alot of deep seated religious values which makes swinging more difficult not saying it dosent happen but that is more incomers than the shetlanders themselves.

Got engaged in a castle In Shetland oh and nearly died traveling on the boat over def a very small community so not sure there would be many x

It's a beautiful place to visit, but I would miss the mountains and trees to live there permanently, make sure you visit the whole island to get the full effect, if you like seabirds then the place to see them.

Just move to Easterhouse, you'll be banging all you're neighbours in the 4-storey flat.

I would say Shetland would have it's limitations.

Over there

There's 22,000 people on Shetland and isles...

A good few live a ferry or boat ride away.

Then half of them are kids or pensioners.

Then everyone else lives knowing everyone's life, overlooking the neighbours, or likes to know what's going on in such a close knit and small community.

It's a shrinking pool.

Can I ask - have you been to Shetland before?

Yep I totally agree. I grew up on an island. It's such a gold fish bowl.

I'm in Shetland right now, Sunday afternoon, on the who's near function there are 2 locals, 1 bi guy and 1 gay guy, 2 couples are showing up but they are clearly tourists. Pretty much all the shops are closed today, a local guy told me that religion plays a big part in people's lives round here.

I'd say if you want to move here to improve your swinging life it wouldn't be the best move

Completely wrong mate … religion never a big part of island … very cosmopolitan… shops/restraunts/sports centres … everything open nearly 7 days a week … and yes there’s folk in the scene … probably cos we’r more selective up here … and yes … folk visiting and new to the islands are always welcome to have social meets before any fun times
