I found out during lockdown that I'm now gluten intolerant.

Boo- 99% of the Asda beer isle is now off limits.

Hooray- recently found a butcher that makes gluten free black pudding.

Who else is missing a food they loved due to allergies?

When I was a toddler I used to have some sort of sugar allergy so didn’t get any sweets, pity it went away as might have saved me piling on the pounds as an adult

I've always suffered with ibs and being sensitive to gluten... funny thing is as I've got older it's been better. I still get the odd episode with some foods but not all.

John suffers from h pylori, trying to educate myself on this but it seems there's so many different kinds

I seem to have become dairy intolerant over the last couple of years. Ice cream was a food I adored and now if I have it I'm ill.

I'm thankful for coconut milk so I can maintain my hot chocolate habit

I have coeliac, so no gluten for me. Eight years since diagnosis, and damn do I miss getting soft noodles from the Chinese. Also, I went GF right before Asda started stocking double-stuffed Oreos, which was gutting as I'd always wanted to try them!

Blue milk, not sure why just can’t drink it now, I’ve obviously developed some kind of recent intolerance, green milk still ok though..

A good friend of mine just introduced me to Baileys hot chocolate- I can't believe that I got to this age without finding it

I'm allergic to my spiced rum It's not too bad though, so do still have it on occasion. Usually planned in advance and take some paracetamol or an antihistamine beforehand and there's hardly any bother x

You can get GF beer. Friend of mine drinks it. I had bought him GF chocolate hobnobs in the hope of meeting for a coffee but looks like I’ll be checking the expiry date at this rate.

There’s a lot more GF food available now and it’s better quality. Biscuits used to be rock hard.

That’s odd. I always had you down as a pretty tolerant chap.

Well, it seems other people's poisons are fine, and only my own gives me grief
