Do i sound like a Real/Natural DOM

i'm not sure if the dom role is suitable for me but i have been told i am a natural dom here is my believes on a dom

can any experienced bdsm folk (not people who have read 50 shades that's not experience) i mean someone who has spent a lifetime or many years as a dom/sub.

anyways can you tell me if this sounds like how a dom should be:

"I believe in a duty of care to a submissive, I make my subs feel very secure and safe.

I have an air around me of being cool, calm and collected/centered and this usually rubs of on the subs making them also feel the same.

I always use a safety word.

I understand that when a submissive places her faith and gives up some level of control and I have a responsibility for the sub.

I take this with great care, and do not abuse the power I'm given. I will instead use the power i'm given to help both dom/sub grow together.

I am not egotistical or self centered you will be looked after i am very empathic to your needs.

The rules on discipline/role play etc always get discussed before hand and will be stuck to.

and I'm not afraid to learn/try new things from a sub, I believe both dom/sub should grow together."

that's how i feel about being a dom but i dunno if I'd make a good dom or not what do you think. Do i have a potential or should i give the dom role a miss ?

From us both....From the very fact you have posted in this forum to ask whether you are tells us that you may not be natural but not being natural doesn't mean you cant be a good Dom...I"sex" is quite egotistical and confident in life as well as in the bedroom....But all said and done at the end of the day...you will both grow as a Dom/sub together....So enjoy exploring each other's boundaries.....SnM...

Which is why I stated 'some' and meant that said 'some' are in fact 'bossy,egotistical,cruel wankers' as in... Use their so called 'Dom' to mentally and physically abuse and take advantage of people in an unfair way....

A Dom/Domme/Mistress/Master serves the needs of the sub .... Simples.

Understanding those needs and knowing how to nurture the relationship is the key.

It is a privilege and honour to be given control by a sub .... A sub always deserves full respect.

If the Sub does not serve the needs of the Dom/me and their limits are such that they cannot be moulded to meet those needs without disrespecting the subs limits the Dom/me should be able to recognise the balance will not work and find another sub.

A Dom/me should be able to listen, nurture, care and where appropriate push .... These qualities may come natural but they can be learned ... They are key to developing trust and without trust the relationship cannot be sustained, let alone grow.

And above all these the quality that makes an exceptional Dom/me is imagination.

The brain is the sexiest organ in the body ....

I'd give it a miss. If you have to ask others oipinions on whether they think you'd be a good Dom then you're not cut out for the role.
