I've found it really hard this year as I've had to change as a person and my personality to, I'm a social person and not being able to get out and mingle with people has been really hard hopefully 2021 will at some point get back to almost normal

I'd say mine has suffered, and by extension my physical health.

I've got an appointment with my GP in early January (Was the closest I could get) to talk things over.

My mental health has always been up and down but since lockdown it’s just gotten worse I was never a social person and trusting anyone enough to talk is hard for me but trying to actually get any help from my dr is a bloody nightmare

I'm actually dreading it when things are bad to normal and I'll have to make the effort to talk in person again. I have been a chatty and cheerful person most of my life but know that I've changed since lockdown. I've been on antidepressants for more than 4years and glad I took up an old hobby of cross-stitch again as its kept the black dog from my door often. Hope you find your own way of coping. X

Working from home was all for a while, but my offices are still not open, and I am still working at my kitchen table, staring at the same small patch of wall. It’s all become a little tiresome and, having work at home all the time, I find I am constantly thinking about it and things I need to do. I love my job, but I am exhausted by it all now

"I'm just putting on a happy face but inside I'm afraid and just totally done "

Sums it up for me too.

To be fair, my (Mr.) mental health over the past 9 months of restrictions has been all over the place.

The first lockdown was ok, everyone was in it together, it was Summer and there was a novelty about it.

The past few months have been hard though. Seeing so many people ignore/break/bend the rules is so blooming' difficult. The rest of my household have went back to work/school so i'm on my own most days. I find it hard to switch off from work.

In a way, on here and a couple of other forums have been a god send.

Ive struggled at times, living alone working from home, being told not to go outside unless its necessary

It's not been easy spending so much time in my own company

And im guessing its not gonna change over the next few months

Im just getting on with it but i do feel the darkness at the sides a bit more than normal

This year has been such a struggle, everything being cancelled and being in lockdown for the best part has really taken its toll , would help if we could see some progress out of it but even with the vaccine that’s going to take a very long time , so miss meeting folks on here but we just get on with it as best we can , stay safe everyone xx

Not been too bad as before lockdown I took the decision of going in anti depressants as I've been really bad with depression for over 20 years it had all came to a head so was either go on tablets or get locked up or worse

As trans, I NEED to get out and about as a female and I've only been able to do this once since lockdown started.

I'm climbing the walls!

I'm usually mentally very sorted thankfully so am coping but I think there are lots of trans people who aren't. I'm very worried about a friend down South.

I have heard anecdotally that suicide or attempted suicide cases are through the roof and actually worse than covid cases but sadly decisions are being made purely around covid and nothing else.

Not too good to be honest, just try get on with it as no other choice. Was better when I was night shift. But since going back days my sleep pattern is gone and way too much time to think. Not good but nothing I can do about it. Like alot of people

I too struggle. I have very dark days and some better days but always feel anxious and sometimes tearful and irritable. Find it hard to deal with noise and conversation. x

Reading through and its clear to see its effecting alot of people. I'm glad it isn't just me thats getting these feelings and I now don't feel alone in being like this. I've had a couple of wins over this week with 2 good days in a row hoping to make today a hatrick
