Just wanted to see what peoples thoughts are on the rules and regs regarding joining the site, personally we think that if you want to join there should be more stringent measures taken to protect the privacy of the serious and genuine members, as we have many occasions where we have thought someone contacting us may be someone who possibly knows us and are fishing with a newly made non verified profile, not sure how this would be tackled but maybe even start with members must be photo verified before allowed to trawl the site, let us know your thoughts thanks

Iv been on for over 12 yrs..never been photo verified and will never be.

Folk can still be photo verified and still be arseholes.be photo verified with no intention of meeting or photo verified and still be out to snoop.

Use your filters.

Yeah just take care. 25% are fakes. But that just means 25% more income for the site and you just have to be a wee bit cautious.

I bet you "trawled" as you put it the site before getting yourself verified or photo verified. Everyone will, its back to basic rules, if you don't want your pictures seen or trawled or copied or ogled or any other savoury or unsavoury scenario simply don't upload in the first place. Not a dig by the way just simple reality of every type of media. Upload only what your happy for the world to see, nothing more.

This. If something doesn't feel right block and move on.

If you're really worried about being spotted:

Use your filters.

Use a different location.

Turn off who's near.

And don't show faces or identifiable features.

Oddly enough, I was just talking about this the other day

Here is some interesting reading and I’m sure the guy is still on here somewhere

A few years ago a math teacher who was part of a couple actually spent a year figuring it out for the uk only

His figures were

53% single males

17% single males pretending to be a lady

10% single males pretending to be a couple

1% single male pretending to be F/F couples

7.4% Computer generates profiles

0.4% genuine M/M couples

0.2% genuine F/F couples

6% genuine TVs

4% genuine couples

1% genuine single ladies

I’m sure the number of genuine people on here have dropped since as it was about 2014 they were done
