Hi does anyone know if the car park up fairlie moor is still blocked with rocks? I was going to go up tomorrow for a picnic

On the road off between Fairlie and Hunterston, the car park was still 'open' earlier this year, but the road/track up to it was deeply rutted, glad I had a 4x4.

Yeah if it’s the wee road up the the car park that sits above the road. It was in bad shape but it had been blocked of because of people dumping rubbish.

It doesn’t look like it. Someone told me there is huge rocks and a tree trunk blocking the entrance. Pity because I felt really comfortable up there and it was a nice place. Xx

Last time I was up there (a week ago) its still blocked off. Spoilt by arsehole fly tippers.

Still on the look out for somewhere similar if any one knows of such a place.......

There's a few good places for outdoor fun up The Cut, up the back of Greenock. But not for in-car fun though! lol

I'm very local to Fairlie Moor and have often taken a drive up. Never once did see other cars about in the car park. I think it's an urban legend.lol

We have fucked up there a few times, had her over the bonnet and boot, you can see the road for mikes, great place.

I have been using the wee lay-bys near the old carpark up the moor,not very busy but I have managed to have fun on most visits
