Basic hygiene

I'm bamboozled when I see bios reading "please smell nice", "have nice breath" or just outright asking for a level of basic hygiene.

On a regular date these are a given, surely its even more so for a Fab social or meet? Or have I just been lucky so far?

Gleam Street

Only takes one horrific meet to make folk add that

Been there... was not fun even just for coffee!

Thankfully not experienced it but I can imagine you’re spot on there

I met a really nice man. Cuddled me to greet me, and smelled so strongly of body odour. The worst thing was he told me he was late because he lost track of time in the shower.

I get why people write it.

We're in a society where people need to be reminded and shown how to wash their hands. I'd say asking for a certain level of hygiene is reasonable request.

I'm regularly physically close to semi naked folk (job related). You would be amazed at some of the levels of poor personal hygiene. There could be an element of folk just not caring but sometimes people just don't realise or have vastly different opinions on what counts as "clean".

So the comments don't surprise me on the slightest.

Snap...my first ever meet, she claimed to have had a bath before we met up...as much as I dig the post gym sweaty look on a woman..there is a BIG difference between fresh sweat and stale BO....

I’m hypersensitive to smells and ocd about hygiene so I expect folk even on a social to be clean and fresh instant turn off

Couldn't agree more, but it seems that some guys don't understand the basics!

On the flipside..

I met a woman once, who I thought had bathed herself in packets of Parma-violets. Her fragrance was so strong I thought I was going to be 5 card trick.
