"For the first time in 30years Edinburgh will look normal during November and December. The locals of Edinburgh get there city back. There is always an upside to having a global pandemic. " You ‘might’ get your city back, but I reckon there’s a hell of a lot of businesses that will go under with loss of trade over the Christmas period.

"We’ll be able to start the new decade from day one being able to make use of the grounds in Princes Street Gardens instead of having to wait until March at the earliest as per the recent past. So on January 1st what will you be using Princess st Gardens for beefy, just curious as your so excited not having to wait till March to do it. " The same as what I use it for during the rest of the year. Taking a nice stroll during my break or after work. Sitting having a nice drink from a nearby Costa or Starbucks, read a paper or book, listen to a podcast. Any number of relaxing things you can do in amongst solem of the most beautiful scenery in the word in my opinion. Is that reason enough for you, Zest?

I always thought the gardens was for everyone to enjoy? I do understand that you enjoy the quiet so that you can have your coffee and read your paper but others are also aloud to enjoy the gardens too and if that entails the hustle and bustle of the Christmas market then they are entirely entitled to do so. It’s all about compromising and sharing. Bit selfish to complain and moan because you can’t get exactly what you want for a few months of the year.
