Since coffee shops and cafes now appear to be the only places folk can meet now, what are the places you go to ?

My fave is Cafe Nero Lothian Road Edinburgh cause they have really comfy sofas you can just sink into

Glasgowish

I would rather grab a takeaway Costa and go for a walk in the park. I find coffee shops too cramped and noisy for a social.

Aww I love a nice wee coffee shop as I love the smell of freshly brewed coffee.

We have a nice wee cafe we go to regularly, quiet and discreet ideal for hushed conversation in a very relaxed atmosphere.

Definitely agree there. I also think it's more relaxed going for a walk

Lots of great wee coffee shops on the southside of Glasgow, but prefer takeaway and a walk in the park

Glasgow/London

Don't like franchise coffee shops, they're built for quantity not quality.

Much prefer a small independent café.

Support local business and always a nice treat to try something new.

Really depends on the woman whether we we sit in or go for a walk- either way, I'm more interested in getting to know her and have a chat

I decided to start visiting independent coffee shops around Glasgow CC when I have time before/between films at GFT
