I really struggle with the reason peoples job has any significance when writing a profile.

Maybe they think it makes them sound better than someone who isn't a professional!

I'm always half tempted to take it as meaning that they're on the scene as a professional couple... As in earn a living out of being a swinging couple.

Just a quirk of the English language though.

It's often spelt wrongly as well, proffesional. Often with professional profiles we might usually get intellagant

More likely to be wearing a suit than a track suit is what people seem to be going for. Surely just a pic showing the fem isn't an Oompa Loompa would do that though? Who knows?

Me, with my limited intellect assumed it meant that both members of the couple work. I suppose that wouldn't seem relevant as far as swinging is concerned but maybe it easier that typing, we both work and dont have the ability to drop everything at a moments notice for a quick fumble whenever you want, also, we dont need our colleagues finding out what we do for fun. Professional couple is a lot easier to type. X

Professional couples, like bams, neds and jakes need not apply

But gingers still can...right? Xx

Where do students fit into this equation? We do not wear Kappa's finest, nor do we prescribe to Armani suits, Victorian social clubs and carry umbrellas.

Where do we fit in???

Good definition! lol

However, as someone else said, I occasionally have the suspicion that, instead, it means they charge for their professional services of sexual kind...
