"I was reading a series of interesting articles about "involuntarily celebrates", people who (for whatever reason) blame everything except themselves for lack of sex and are often apoplectic with rage at the prospect. They are, almost without exception, male. I read the following passage: "conventional femininity teaches women to be good partners to men as a basic moral requirement: a woman should provide her man a support system, and be an ideal accessory for him, and it is her job to convince him, and the world, that she is good. Men, like women, blame women if they feel undesirable. And, as women gain the economic and cultural power that allows them to be choosy about their partners, men have generated ideas about self-improvement that are sometimes inextricable from violent rage." There's an ideology growing around this perceived injustice, where incels can't understand why women wouldn't want to have sex with them - the idea that it's their fault for being" unattractive and socially inept" does not occur to them. It makes me wonder - how many women encounter these entitled (self-professed) "subhumans" and whether this ideology explains the awful reaction to rejection, no matter how politely it is articulated?" I think this very much applies to both sexes! A lot of women cannot accept being rejected too and sometimes their reaction isn't particularly nice towards the men either . its definitely a two way thing.

I agree, however it's interesting that an entire misandric sub-culture hasn't developed around men rejecting women.

"Im confused by the whole thing, its never been easier to hook up, theres a multitude of apps, theres never been an easier, less stigmatised time to buy sex or erotica, theres never been an easier, or more accepting time, for everything from kinks to self improvement...and yet i see this misogyny in new clothes everywhere, from the blatant rage of incels to the befuddled redifinition of women in third wave feminism. I think that maslows hierarchy of needs has been fulfilled on basic levels, but people dont know really how to self actualise, and instead have become angry narcissistic raging arseholes....for proof please see most of twitter...." It's far easier to blame others for any perceived shortfalls I think, which is a survival mechanism in itself (psychological safety as per Mazlows bottom rung!) Incels in particular though see themselves in the bottom 10%, and that the systems are rigged against them (for example, what's the current ratio of men to women on Fab? 6:1? 10:1??). The world of Chads, Beckys and Staceys is fascinating and very creepy.

"Your right there about ratios. But no one should be so stupid as to not recognise a stacked deck, or unfavorable odds. You want better odds, play a diffrent game. My number one piece of advice to any young man...learn to dance. Sounds stupid, but works." Or if like me, you have 2 left feet, embrace looking like a maniac on the dancefloor ![]()

Incels are creepy but nowhere near as prevalent as the “nice guys” and the “I’m not like all the others on here” as well as the “some guys ruin it for the good ones on here” brigade!
