"New lockdown bring bad times AGAIN

No real changes though for Glasgow and surrounding areas. We've been like this for weeks. It's only really the pub situation that's changed for us

There’s was no lockdown in Glasgow as there was in Aberdeen as it was politically motivated. Now her inept failure to lockdown Glasgow sees the whole of Scotland suffer as a whole

Eh? The restrictions were different, yes, based on where the spreads were happening. But there was as much, if not more, of a lockdown in Glasgow than there was in Aberdeen.

Exactly people will just go out earlier and house parties will increase as well so I really don’t see the point either

Couldn’t agree more if she had lockdown in the central belt the numbers wouldn’t have got so high. But when a lot of your votes come from there what else was she going to do

Hopefully the clowns who decide the rules don't apply to and have house parties will be hit hard in their pockets

Lockdown was a lot worse in Aberdeen no one was allowed to leave the city only allowed to go a five mile radius all hospitality venues were closed including coffee shops cafes ect not just pubs for 150 cases there is constantly more cases for the last few weeks in Glasgow alone but no I don’t think there should be a lockdown in Glasgow or any where we have to go with the flow two weeks ago in the uk as a whole it was the 24 th in the list of what people were dieing with if you can’t see your 80 year old mother just phone a taxi and get her too the nearest pub what a joke

Totally agree. Hit the house party organisers with a £50k fine and if not paid then get tagged for 2 years. Stop pissing about and get serious.

Really... since when was trying to keep people alive politically motivated. Surely if it was political and Aberdeen being a tory voting area she would just have left them to get on with it ... Kill a few tory voters off im process. Try and no let your hatred of anything SNP blind you.

Let’s be honest it’s all politically motivated because she’s too weak and doesn’t want to upset anyone. The whole island should have been locked down in March with proper fines and jail time if the rules were broke, everyone was more interested in the pub and holidays than they were for other people’s health. Now the same people are complaining about the second weaker lockdown happening

She doesnt have the power to lock down the island , that blame lies at westminister and i think you will find she is far from weak, seems to me shes upset thousands by doing what she thinks is best for the wellbeing of the country.

Let's be clear here. This covid19 is not going away. It's here to stay. Anyone who thinks different is dillusional. Further lock downs will create mass unemployment. Which i can assure you will leed to a massive rise in antisocial behaviour and crime. When you have no job or prospects, no hope, lost your house, you're capable of things that you never thought were possible. It's a changed world now and people need to get a grip and face reality. Living under a rock and hiding....hoping it will all go away or some magical antidote or vaccine is gonna get produced soon is a total pipe dream. The stark reality is people are unfortunately gonna die. Pandora's box has been opened. The other side of this is that the economic crash will kill more people. There has already been a marked rise in suicide within the UK. Also, there is no concensus within the governments or medical professionals of the world over this virus. No leadership. Just bullshit rhetoric about "reducing the R number and we don't want this, we are trying our best, we are being led by science".. blah blah blah. Anarchy and potential war is coming folks... get prepared.

I agree with some of this... but to say war is coming??? I like to think humankind is a bit more resourceful. We have much to call upon in our fight against covid. We are a resourceful and resilient species... we are also a wasteful and arrogant one. However we have triumphed over far worse, we are not yet in the depths of despair and quite frankly I think we are fearful, which is understandable but not helpful. We have so much in comparison to the horrors of previous crisis's mankind has endured. We need to appreciate what we have. We must do many things that demand sacrifice but we must step up. Better days lie ahead if we fight for them, it may sound corny but we do it better together. As the Dalai Lama said... BE KIND... YOU CAN ALWAYS BE KIND

(And wear a facemask... and do what the rule says even if it makes no sense and we WILL get there)... just saying... this too shall pass
