Following the "swinging date" post about where would you go if you had a blank cheque to choose...

Where are there any luxurious, but different hotels/cottages/chalets etc...?

I'm looking for something different, maybe themed or with an outdoor hot-tub, roof garden etc...

Anyone seen anywhere or can reccomend anywhere. Anywhere in the UK.

Cheers much

Of course you can, get googling!

The only funky looking place I can see is the one mentioned at Fernie Castle or 21 the lakes in (surprisingly enough) the lake district lol

... also stayed in a B&B which was lovely and unusual... Urquhart Church near Elgin.... two gay guys owned and ran it last time I was there... ended up giving one cookery lessons!

They are lush, the 2 person lodges are super with their walk through loo/shower/sauna room, huge kingsize bed, big lounge area , then, mmm, the hot tub on the front decking, i thought it would just be "swimming pool" warm water, its as hot as any bath, kick back, with a drink and just sink into the hot bubbles when your shoulders get cold on a clear winters night,

T xx

all over

You want somewhere out of this world try the Virgin upper class lounge at heathrow!

Total pamper from start to finish while waiting on your flight, including hot tub, cinema, music, cocktails, food, even a hairdresser - and it's all included in the ticket price!

Then you get get on a flight to Vegas - there you can get any themed room you want!

Worth every penny!!

You should check out the Glasshouse Hotel in Edinburgh. It has a roof terrace and is nothing short of stunning.

Pretty much anywhere really as it would most likely be a one off "special" night or two. Price doesn't really matter either....within reason lol.

you should check out the Hotel Pelirocco in Brighton for a decadent room, the durex 'playroom' has an 8' round bed mirrored canopy above and a pole dancing area. Also has a huge plunge bath... and remember to give me plenty notice when we are going! If the weather stops travel I'm still up for Fernie castle's treehouse

Piper Dam is looking a very good shout just now, the lodges look as good as loch lomond and they aren't too far away.

The hotel in Brighton looks brilliant! I'd want a different room each night though haha
