HELP shaving itches and hurts like hell ?

I have been trying to eliminate all hair from my falange for over a year now and on many other occasions such as holidays etc before to no avail. It hurts it itches looks horrible whatever I try and as if I have an infection.

I have tried loads of different things do not want to give up on this but may have to

HELP any ideas most welcome even the way out there ones lol

Personally if I've not shaved in a while I get like that first time or if I do it too regularly I use conditioner leave it on hair for a few minutes to shave always use mach3 blades new ones for the flower old ones for the legs when I'm maintaining it no less than 3rd day no more than 5 I used teatree original source to lather up leaves it feeling cool and fresh on and if you miss bits don't keep going over it as you will only irritate the skin, to moisturise the area afterwards the best cream I've found for anywhere on my body and I've got sensitive skin is Avon footworks heel softener lol sounds mad but one morning getting ready for work I picked that up instead of my Nivea fir my face and never looked back

Oh and always pull the skin tight where you're shaving to avoid nasty nips

if you want to be hair free, go for waxing, i would never go back to shaving for hair removal

I'm sick of baldy Fanny's. Bring back some hairy I say trimmed ykno. 3 days growth. That lets me completely shave on a tues and have a nice short rug by the weekend lol x

Thanks ladies I have the avon foot cream so I will give the mac3's ago and see how it goes. Someone told me that Magic powders is good but will try shaving again. Waxing is also another route I may try if this keeps happening but what do you say to the beautician. Take it all off ???

There was a thread on the wales forum about magic powder which is a hair removal paste. You can get it on ebay, we've tried it and it's great. No burning or itching at all.

As a devotee of the naked sac n crack, my routine is a long warm soak in the bath to open the pores, shaving oil to massage the area in question, then a shaving cream with aloe vera and mach 5 blades making sure the skin is kept taught. Shave confidently but gently. Warm soak again then apply an aloe vera balm to moisturise . Use balm daily for a few days to soothe any itch. And keep the perfume, scented snap and bodyspray well away. When washing, use dove soap. Hope this helps. xxx

After waxing you won't want to go back to shaving however due to my job i have to be neat down below 24/7 so i can't allow my hair to grow for waxing. I have heard laser treatmeant is a great success for many.

waxing is defo the way to go..leaves it sooo smooth, and it comes in softer so no itchy regrowth...

Don't be afraid to discuss with your therapist what results you want and which method suits you best. It's her job she's seen/heard it all before. I get hot Brazilian wax which doesn't have a material strip to take it off. Only takes hair off not top layer of skin too. So far less irritation/in growing hairs.

I totally agree the hot brazilian is the way to go...

i have tried everything .... whatever way i shave, i get terminal acne, that even i dont want to look at, never mind anyone else ..... veet sensitive .... not sensitive enough, again gives a rash, and very sore for weeks ........ i decided at christmas to go have it all off by waxing, was great for a few weeks .... then the hair started growing back .... and if you have never tried to retrieve ingrown hairs with a needle and a pair of tweezers, plus 3 weeks worth of antibiotics, and huge lumps filled with pus ..... you're very lucky lol ..... i've given up .... it's staying, may trim it occasionally if anyones gonna see it

Ps..I'd tried fucidin and hydrocortisone creams with no success.the alcohol in the aftershave seems to dry the area.tea tree is great to before u shave..on subsequent days aloe Vera gel is fab too.
