Do you find fun in Solving Cubes, Playing Chess, Scrabble or Monopoly and would like to see these activities flourish more in Scotland?

I'm a boardgamer, mine are a bit more in depth than those though!

Munchkin, Sheriff of Nottingham, Catan, 221B Baker Street, Ticket to Ride and DC deck builders are some of my favourites

there's also a boardgame convention in Scotland every year, called Tabletop Scotland. Not as big as UK Games Expo but looks decent. Was planning to go this year, thanks Covid!

Nice to know!

I'll do a research on TableTop Scotland to find out why there's no effective advertisement.

These other boardgames you mentioned though, are they tournament games?

Self confessed Wargamer here (no neck beard) which spills over in to board games. Like Leia, not basic ones. Current favourites are Mythic Battles and Joan or Arc.

Catan does get played as a tournament at UKGE in Birmingham every year. Star Wars Miniatures too, I think.

There's always a gaming section at MCM Comic Con in Glasgow every September, Asmodee will have a dozen or so games set up that people can come and learn to play.

Tabletop Scotland has a Facebook page you can check out.

Have always loved boardgames but haven't played for ages. A few years back we used to invite friends around for non fab games nights which were always fun. Would be fun to have a fab boardgames night ??

My games of choice are Backgammon and Okey. I used to play Okey for hours and hours when I lived in Turkey.

I’m a massive nerdy board gamer and RP player.

Currently running a Werewolf the Apocalypse campaign with a group of friends. So much fun

It's a good convention, heavily leans into Rpgs but good amount of board games and some tcg's also.

The board game library is great way to try out games and usually a good handful of new games being exhibited also. 2021 is currently being planned, so hopefully will go ahead

Wargamer/RP/board gamer here. I also run wargames, would like to run a campaign or two, maybe DnD for those interested, once things get back to normal?

Between Edinburgh and Scottish Borders

We love boardgames and have small collection. We also played some RPG - Warhammer and Call of Cthulhu, but Mrs isn't very keen on them.

Love games (board, card etc etc). I dont take it too seriously. A couple of my favourites are 'Exploding Kittens' and 'Bears vs Babies' (adult version). Very funny and can be competitive if you let it...
