I luv this hotel its especially good for group fun as it has wall to wall masssive beds ..not great for a long stay as there isnt any storage space for clothing ...the mood lighting is also very nice xxx

I stayed in what was once the park hotel beside Buchanan st bus station and opposite john Lewis. The room I had was pretty big and the bath/shower and bathroom were massive. I did a big cam session for a kinky woman although my laptop got a bit wet and now some of the keys don't work... Probably too much information.

thers also the Glasgow Lofts in renfrew street- serviced apartments.

stsyed there once - it was a like a self contained flat - 2 bedrooms, bathroom, and open plan kitchen/lounge. loads of space. ideal for party time if you want separate room plsy.

its really like a home from home. just bring your own food n food.

just watch when you book - they promote the cracking high rise city views and cracking they are too - can see for miles.

but if you want to guarantee that city view - you best phone i'd say rather thsn online.

i booked online and room choice imagery was of a city view - but i was allocated a one with a poor view.

dont get me wrong- aparment was great but i didnt get the views i thought i was getting.

a similar option is The Spires - they wrre in bothwell street but i think they moved to glasford street - or maybe they still operate both.

hope this helps

I agree about the long stay, movies are free too.

But I'd like to add the thistle to the list, nice little pool and a sauna too all included.

Didn't EasyHotel shut a few months back? I've not been up there for a while so it might have re-opened.

I see lots of people piling into a new hotel, the Park Inn above Tony Macaroni on West George St/ Renfield St.

We love CitizenM. Alot for your money. The beds are huge and B always is able to sleep well in them, which is unusual. We love the cloth dolls in the rooms too. And the funky chairs. But what's the rubber table about in the lounge area near all the books all about? That's just wrong!

The Thistle is quite good for a town hotel. The rooms and beds are quite large and the facilities are good, tho who needs them ?

Malmaison is very nice and does a great breakfast. Had a fire alarm go off last time I was there with everyone put onto the street. Luckily I was dressed but others were out in jimjams lol

Central is very nice the the bars are mega expensive. Avoid rooms by taxi rank or on the station side as these are noisy.

The Sandyford and Smiths in the west end of Sauchiehall St are ok budget hotels. Smiths is the best tho as the Sandyford is in need of a refurb, but both are handy if you are in town and find you need to get a room.

Glasgow

The Pond, now Jury's Pond (I believe) was a great place for groups.

I booked a number of people in for the night after a school reunion c 2004 and the staff, front of house and admin, were excellent.

It's handy for roads and has a HUGE carpark.

Of course, it could have changed.

Glasgow's Grand Central Hotel gets a mention above.

5pm today has what looks like a good food offer there. £20.95 (was £41.90) for 2 courses for two people incl a glass of fizz.
