And just like that the gyms re-opened this morning

How have those that ventured back found it? A little different or just the same?

Are you waiting to see how things pan out over the next few days?

I couldn’t wait to get back, really surprised how my cardio has held up by oh my have I slipped down the numbers for heavy weights

Temperature measured as I walked through the doors, all staff wearing masks and visors, new carpet tiles reminding us of social distancing, smaller classes, half the equipment not to be used, etc.

The new normal?

Not complaining. It was great to be back. Just takes some getting used to.

Went back this afternoon.

Quite a spacious gym anyhow with lots of cleaning stations set up.

Oh how I've missed ladies in lycra ??

I go to one of the big gym chains, not sure if I am allow mention company names in forum

Certainly doesn’t seem as strict sanitisers everywhere for you to use on entry and to clean down equipment after use, masks to be worn on entry, changing rooms etc but that’s it. What I did notice they are on top off groups mixing etc.

Absolutely not complaining though so happy to be back training properly. Hopefully have my abs back for whenever we are allowed on holidays next

I cancelled my membership at my last gym just before lockdown so will have to find a new gym, are they taking new members on just now?

Froze my membership with the gym that is pure as lockdown started but cancelled it last week as I didn't feel comfortable

Reduced numbers in

Smaller class size

Less classes

No booking for classes

Rumours of not allowed a towel to wipe down kit (got to use wipes which you know will run out)

I want to go back to gym, want to fire into body pump classes but I will wait for now and try to get motivated to go cycling more

Went back yesterday to pure...seemed fine and was quiet when I went in. Lots of stations to wipe down equipment and sections were taped off for social distanced

Felt pretty safe and was very excited to get back!
