"We have always said that a swinger club would not really be for us. We are new on our adventure into the lifestyle and really want to watch and be watched by other couples, which is our thing at the moment. We watched the Ch4 documentry the other night on a club down south and both agree we may invesitgate going to a club when they open up again. If any couples on here have any information of advice on the ones in either Ediburgh or Glasgow we would be delighted to hear from you. " An idea might be when things are more normal to spend a long weekend in the North West. Fairly easy to get to and a good amount of clubs to try. I wouldn’t choose After Eight as a first club, try a bigger one where you’ll probably feel more relaxed. No 3 club in Chorley or Cupid’s in Swindon are probably pretty good for beginners. It does depend on the people who attend on the night you are there of course, which is why it’s worth a few visits before deciding if clubs are for you. Just a thought if travel was an option.

"Travel is not easy now with a young family. We were looking for somewhere more local. Maybe clubs up here are not a good idea for beginners. " ...If I were you then once clubs reopen I would try CJ's in Glasgow. Caroline and all her Staff are fantastic and will take real good care of you on your first visit....and I promise you once you've been it won't be your last. Remember also once inside CJ's you don't need to play straight away but you can meet & chat with others and take things at your leisure....Just fully enjoy the experience...

"Good advice. We are not an overly confident couple so are worried we look like a pair of lemons. We don't also want to be over run with single guys. No offence to the lovely guys who have replied to the post. I am sure they are not all as respectful as you." I have only ever been to cj's so cant comment on any others but there are limited spaces for single guys there. Hope you try it I have always enjoyed myself even if I rarely play its a good way to meet people and maybe make friends to play with at a later date

"CJs is definitely bigger so more room to move around. I had a negative experience of After8, but I agree that you should try both and see what works for you. I agree with the points above regarding checking out different nights. As a new couple the couples and singles ladies night would probably be more comfortable for you, but it depends what you're looking for." I think CJ's Fun For All night would be the best, as those are mostly like socials with a mix of people. Mandy

"Single men at the clubs aren't intimidating and will take no for an answer. And they keep tabs on ratio, so you'll never feel outnumbered x" I’ve generally found single men at CJs to be respectful

No offence, but the Scots will beat the Dutch hands down where it comes to alcohol consumption I think we should rephrase it!! Scots courage...

" Main difference between the Dutch and Scots, the Dutch have 'A' drink to be social but the Scots drink to get pissed. Dutch hospitality is the best
