Yeah i would imagine only a small amount of folk allowed in at one time but still a step in the right direction.

Sorry to be a bummer here but those of you who are worried about your health and obviously coronvirus, might want to skip swimming for the time being as Chlorine weakens Your Immune System as it does what it is meant to do, it kills off harmful bacteria in the water but the big problem is it also kills beneficial bacteria in your gut. When you are missing the good bacteria, your immune system is compromised and it operates out of your gut and chlorine is a respiratory irritant, and inhaling it may cause pulmonary edema, an excessive buildup of fluid in the lungs that can lead to breathing difficulties and pneumonia . So where as this wasn't a concern for those who would normally go swimming before lockdown it is now

if your not in great health ie have asthma, lung issues, overweight, underweight and you are worried about the virus. Best to wait it out until its safe to do so.

Don't get me wrong swimming is very good for you only if it's cold water, warm water that's is chlorinated is not good at all. If you can smell chlorine you'll be breathing it in. Swimming in cold water works your body twice as hard as swimming in more temperate warmer water, and your body's long term metabolism increases. Therefore, taking a quick dip in the ocean is a healthy option to improve your body's and heart, salt water is much better for you.

So I just can't understand why government are OK to allow swimming to open with these risks.

Again sorry to be a bummer but better safe that's sorry, I know about chlorine and water temps because ei was a swimmer and if your search you will find that's I'm not talking shite lol

I'm not doubting you for a minute here you do sound like you know what your talking about , you know me there's always a

BUT

if chlorine is so bad for for you and it is widely used in swimming pools and my garden hot tub , with today's health and safety regulations tighter than ever , why us there not huge posters in sports centres with pools or public swimming pools warning us all of the dangers. Or warnings on hot tubs etc etc, I think you might be blowing the risks well out of proportion, not intentionally raining on people's parades but doing it anyways.

For now I will continue using swimming pools and my hot tub . Stay safe all you chlorine sniffing renegades.
