Fortunate enough to have been working from home since early March, but got a letter yesterday to advise that my Firm is looking at redundancies And that I might not have a job soon. A bit of a kick in the teeth, but gotta just roll with the punches

I was lucky to have only been furloughed for 3 weeks, other than that I've been working from home since early March.

The redundancies at my work have started, and it seems to be the folks that have been on furlough the longest that are at risk.

Sorry to hear that about your job, unfortunately i think at the end of the furlough scheme, this is going to be a regular occurrence.

It will be what it will be. Have been working at home full time since just before lockdown became official so am thankful for that. Would have not enjoyed furlough and being at home with nothing to do. My head would’ve exploded

Not looking forward to the prospect of job hunting so am hoping that working throughout the past 5 months or so will pay off for me?

Sorry to hear that but as someone said previously think this will be a common occurrence as companies will have learned they dont need big offices and loads of employees when all most need are a home computer and zoom apps

I'd think so...there is that saying it's easier to find a job when you're still in work so technically if you looked now it *should* be easier. I say should as I assume everyone is likely looking. It would at least perhaps give you an advantage over people who haven't been working the whole time.

My eldest was doing agency work so got paid off at beginning of lockdown.

He has been looking for work for a while and has managed to get some odd shifts here and there doing labouring for tradesmen so hopefully something longer term comes of it and at least he is getting some experience just now

Bit the same, but a weeks leave next week - just leaves 4 more weeks to fit in between now and Xmas.

Furlough would have not been good for me...

I was forloghed for 3 months then told that my job was at risk but there may be a new position on a lot less money. I decided to look for a new job and was lucky enough to start a new job three weeks ago with I different company. During fourlogh I volentered at food banks to keep myself busy

My garden is looking great, I decorated 2.5 rooms and once restrictions were lifted we got out sightseeing in our local area. Burnt out now though, norhing left. Glad to be returning to work next week x

Whole house decorated, garden done, log cabin extended, cars all serviced, dog walked further than ever. :-.

Was furloughed for 3 months now I've been made redundant.

Been back in office for 10 weeks or so. Now they have decided we need to work from home 1 day every alternate week to reduce numbers in office. Horse and cart spring to mind
