Can anyone tell us why people can have a good chat with you sending messages back and forth then block you after you’ve sent them a picture..?

We’re new to the site but really lol

It’s just bad manners mostly... unless they perhaps recognised you and thought for both parties sakes communication shouldn’t continue?

It’s a shame when it happens, especially If or when you built a bit of a rapport...

Hate folk like that. They clearly didn't fancy you but why not just say instead of being rude. Profiles like that should be names and shamed actually

She is verified by cam meets but has no pictures on her own profile which did set alarm bells off with us but still.

We learn from our mistakes I suppose.

Yes you learn and get wise, no pics on a profile is a no no for me, would never send pics to someone asking if they can't even have public pics on show

They dont fancy you but don't want to be direct and say that so dinghying is the easy option.

Or

They know you.

Try not to let it get to you. I've spoke with people at length before, then they've sent one arsey message and I've just thought "do one mate" and blocked them. I'd probably be called ignorant for that but really don't have the time or energy to waste on people who don't get me.

This is why we always ask for pics in the first message or 2. Saves all the messages back and forth if there’s no attraction.

I would assume you weren’t their type and they just blocked you. We always tell people if they aren’t our type but sometimes they take the huff and send a cheeky message back so maybe she’s had a few cheeky messages and thought this was the best way.

Had that happen to me yesterday sent a lovely message with a picture attached then blocked within seconds it kinda feels extreme but could be a valid reason why they act like that and it's not you per say and as someone said at least you never got abuse.

I always send a face picture with first message it saves wasting both our times if I'm not somebody's type.

I do always find the funny side when I read a profile and it says no pic no reply I think to myself I've sent a pic and no reply either

Thanks for the replies everyone x

As we said it’s frustrating and annoying especially when it was them that started the messaging and the fact we are new to the site and still waiting to be verified for meets etc.

It won’t put us off as we did expect some teething problems being new to the site and new to the scene but we will learn the hard way x thanks again x

Not a rule break but not a nice thing to do. Why can people not just be adult enough to say they are not what they are looking for?.

No profiles that chat and chat then just block, no matter what it's rude and no need for it.

Exactly this, takes 2 seconds to say no thanks. Especially if you have been messaging back and forth anyway.

Bluebelle yes its polite to say sorry but not for me but as the site owners say no reply is a no.

Sometimes it's easier rather than then getting the next message which is why what's wrong with us usually

It may be rude, but no reply or blocked means not interested.

It happens, best to just move on, no reason to name and shame as others have suggested.

For some people the block is better than a polite no thanks ad that leads to abusive messages or people arguing why your wrong for saying no.

This isn't about sending a one off message and no reply being a no,

This was an ongoing conversation the op was having and then they blocked them which is very poor indeed, a no not our type after the pic message is all it takes.

Yeah I’ve had the “sorry not for me” messages and, although it’s not the best (what’s wrong with them? I’m awesome!) it’s better than delete nothing or delete block.

Now I guess the problem is that some people don’t take it on the chin and so lash out... hence this sometimes being the easier option...

thats why its always better to get face pics out the way early on in the conversation rather than getting caught up in a lot of chat only to be disappointed when face pics are swapped lol

We have taken it on the chin all we have done is realised there is a forum that is there for a discussion and it can also be used for helpful advice which we are receiving.

One thing that we haven’t done and won’t do also is name and shame..but we do appreciate the discussion so thanks everyone x

People can do so for many different reasons. Without all the information it's impossible for an outsider to give you insight as to why these people did so on this occasion. Send me the pic and I'll give my tuppence worth.

No public pics & no avatar would mean we would avoid too. Were the verifications displayed? We look for meet verifications & also displayed verifications.

Central Borders

Stranger things have happened and will happen on here

Just take it as a time saver for yourselves, since they're probably people you wouldn't want to meet anyway.

They didn't really do anything wrong mind, but personally do think a polite no thanks would have been the decent thing to do if you were chatting for quite a while x

I find it annoying too or if your chatting to them but can't meet them straight away they block you after you send a pic. Or the other one they want a pic and they don't have any on their profile and not just couples. At least say not thanks not for me/us
