Thoughts on socials?

Obviously no one can meet just now anyway because of COVID. But when you do - how do you feel about a social first?

99% of the guys I talk to don’t want one.

I can understand it, but I’m looking for a fwb, not a one and done.

How does everyone else feel about them?

Maybe I landed lucky but when I was meeting people no one ever had any objections to a social meeting.

Rarely they ever went further than that which tells me it definitely was the best way

Shangri-la

Always a social first, sometimes more than one. If a guy isn't prepared to meet me for a social first, to establish whether there is a connection/attraction, then he won't be meeting me at all!

The only exception to this is in a club environment, but even in those circumstances I'd still expect some social interaction/conversation first.

Not currently meeting at all though, not even for a social, & don't plan to be for quite a while.

You could have a long wait unfortunately. There was some professor on the TV saying that Covid will be with us forever like the common cold and flu.

I like a social as I like a good old chat.

Somewhere over there

We’ve made a lot of good friends at socials and they’re a great way of keeping in touch with them.

Before lockdown, we’d just started doing more further afield so that we’d meet new folk as we’re (somewhat) well known at cjs! (We’re there so often)

Think less pressure at social as you get chance to chat to people and if you do want something to maybe happen later down the line, then you can arrange it on your own/their terms.

Agree with the comment above, we like a social, we are swingers so the social side of the scene is as important to us as the play plus it gives you a chance to actually chat face to face and see if you actually get along, we'd prefer to make friends we can play with.

Do you think people who aren't swingers don't like to chat and socialise with people before they have sex with them?

I enjoy a social meet first, better to know there’s a connection then than realise there isn’t when you go straight to the bedroom

Think the majority on here that aren't don't no unless it's idle chit chat before the main event but that's not a social lol.

Always have a social first, the lady not happy, tough. The only time I didn't, and didn't get a phone number either, resulted in a no show!

Having said that, most of my socials have turned into something else, I've obviously met a lot of naughty ladies!!

We’ve had that happen; the men tend to talk to Ian about me (when I’m not around) and he says if it’s her you want to play with, talk to HER. But then they just hover round me and don’t say anything; if you can’t even just say ‘hi’ I’m not likely to want to go play. I know some ppl just want a straight ‘meet & fuck’ and that’s fine but it’s not how I am.

I have yet to have a meet of any kind on here but if it was me I would go with a social meet with distance of course. That way both parties can determine if there is a connection build the trust. I think baby steps need to be taken with what's going on right now, but it's really upto yourself. I hope this helped a little
