Hi . For most places you will need to book a table for eating. Unless you order food in. There are lots of good pubs in Glasgow however if it’s busy over the weekend you might find a group of 6 hard to place for drinks. Due to social distancing the space available is greatly reduced. Some places adopt a booking system giving you a limited number of hours fir a table ..

After seeing what happened in Aberdeen, I'd stay put in 1 place if possible x

I agree with you but wouldn't it just be my luck that that would be the place there's an outbreak

I work in a large bar in Glasgow and been out to a few. It's ok mostly just the odd few idiots that can't follow rules. Apart from that it's been enjoyable mostly. I would deffo book ahead as depending on the pub max table sizes are between 6-8 if the place has tables big enough to accommodate. My place is a max 6 currently.

Is there not also regulations about the people socialising should be from within 3 different households as a maximum? Not sure if that fits your group or not!

I’d stick to the places you can book although other places are available. The book ale places with table service via app etc just feel safer

Think there is guidance but it's kinda hard to regulate as only 1 person needs to give details.

We have. It’s like a ghost town if I’m honest. There was no atmosphere at all in the city centre so we headed back to our local pubs.

At least keep it between you and not take it to the next pub

I take it the group of 6 aren’t all from the same family?

My advise would be to stay home and stay safe.

I contacted the Scottish tourist office via the Visit Scotland website

We are classed as a travel bubble

This trip was booked ages ago so would be sad to cancel

Hopefully the weather will be nice and we won't be spending lots of time in pubs but getting out and about to the countryside too

I'm in total agrreance with you

I've only been in a pub 3 times this year. Twice since lockdown (same night)

Have you just made that term up?

It really seems to fly in the face of everything else we're being advised

No absolutely not and I agree it's not something I had heard of prior to this

It's my household and two other household

What bothers me

Is yeah track and trace but are folk using their real

Names giving real

Phone numbers, bookings should all be confirmed by email

Or text and folk should

Be showing ID in my books ! Too lax for my liking I’ll stick to my masks my sanitiser and takeaways for now or meeting outdoors

Yeah my understanding of a travel bubble was mutually inclusive travel between countries that it was agreed tourists could visit whilst still adhering to the rules that country put in place. I.e. I could go to certain countries with my family and couldn’t go to others...

You don't need to explain to people on here how many households are involved and who's in your bubble.

Hope you have a great time x

Spoons was limiting 4 to a table at the weekend in Stirling and absolutely no movement between tables if that helps . A table outside be perfect for you all risk is minimal then if you’re careful . Enjoy x

You are allowed to meet other households and you are allowed to go out for something to eat and drink so if you feel comfortable doing it then have a great time. It really makes no odds what other folk do or don’t do their opinions are totally invalid.
