Garthamlock

Aimed at the good Ayrshire folk here...

Looking to take The youngest to a beach tomorrow. Generally want to avoid the Troon, Irvine and Ayr Beaches and other Neddy hotspots...

Can anyone point me in the direction of a nice friendly low key beach? Was thinking prestwick but fear that might be heaving as well.

Its a wee bit further up the m8, but Erskine has a lovely quiet beach

We went to girvan a few weeks ago (Haven't been for years) I couldn't believe how gorgeous the beach was, spotlessly clean and not busy

Ardrossan north shore ....just before the waterside hotel ....loads of rock pools

Thanks all for your suggestions. Ended up in Prestwick along from the play barn. Was pleasantly quiet! I’ll be sure to check out your other places but!
