Just walked back from town, and starting to notice, face masks scattered everywhere, even seen them floating in the river, Are they becoming the new litter problem. Anyone else noticed this??

Not seen any thrown away here and 78% of people are wearing them.

Tis a real shame but then litter is always a problem in the UK I think!!

GLASGOW

Seen a few about, I use disposable and reusable, but I've found this new thing call a 'bin' cracking idea and I've even got one in my house. Just need to persuade the council to empty them. Maybe some form of monthly payment to them to help the cost

And yeah doggy is right, people are arseholes

You see them around places who give the disposable masks out for free to customers. Lazy fuckers should be told to go away and come back with a mask. It’s not like we didn’t get a weeks notice of it starting.

Some folk (not all) are just neanderthals with the attitude of "well, it will give someone a job" The sensible, responsible people will dispose of them appropriately.

I said that to my daughter that the graveyard wasnt looking its best as the grass hasn't been cut but for people to go to a graveyard and leave stuff like that was out of order not only that but a bit disrespectful too .

Seen that myself too...although in fairness there is litter thrown all over graveyards all the time even though lots of bins around...people have very little respect.

Fully agree with everyone .. it’s a disgrace not to mention grisly unhygienic.clinical waste bins could be used at the larger shops and or positioned at areas of congregation. ..

On a much lighter note . I’ve found a new game to play in Tesco.. try to make and hold eye contact with Women whilst smiling at those who hold your stare . It’s amazing just how many actually respond with a big smile under their mask.. eye flirting ..is fun lol

That and gloves

The amount of gloves and masks left in a trolly is becoming a deal breaker for me.

Stopped going into Tesco now just order online

I’ve always done the Tesco stare. Can be really funny seeing how many will hold eye contact

Glasgow (for now)

Does my nut in, they wear a mask - badly, touch their face, don't cover the nose then moan at everyone else if they get too close.

Humans, can't live with them, can't flog them into submission.

Think someone mentioned this upthread or I perhaps read it elsewhere on Fab, but part of the problem seems to be the shops handing them out for free at the entrance.

Buy a reusable one or disposable one yourself. If you don't have one, tough titty. You dont get in.

The masks aren't the litter problem, its the arseholes behind them.

They won't give the out for long so won't be an issue.

Just left asda , roughly 80 people in store, lucky if half were wearing masks. Manager and about half the staff too had no masks on either lmao.

Thanks Nicola for another waste of time excerise.

Loads more cases of covid announced all over most health boards , none in Dumfries and Galloway though so no fear of our Nicola closing the border again . Woohoo. Woe betide them if they have another outbreak of cross border "complex" counting to deal with though ,haha.
