I wasn’t a drinker before, it’s the restaurants I can’t wait to go to, I love my grub and I’m a good cook but can’t beat a nice meal out someone else looking after you and a change of scenery

Busby

Think about it.

After pouring your own measures for the last 10 weeks do you really think you will taste the spirit in a pub measure? Nope.

It’s the Hoose Inn for me until we are allowed to rub shoulders and dance.

It’s a lovely day for it, but think we’ll hold off another wee bit. Plenty of space in the garden to have a few drinks and relax.

There was an influx of people hopping across the border at the weekend to take advantage of the different rules.

Hopefully everything will be fine when the restrictions are lifted

Better to be safe than sorry! Have a beer in your garden, it’s safer.

I saw one bloke at Cowgate been pulled out of the flowerbed near the traffic lights.. Then another one further down the road with his Hoody on the wrong way continuously walking into a steel door.. so everything is back to normal!!

For every badly behaved person today, there are probably a load more being perfectly responsible.

Can't see the obsession of rushing to a beer garden TBH. I can wait a bit longer till we see this virus eradicated or there's a vaccine.

Obsession? Or a welcome wee slice of a chink of a return to normality?

I think it's normal folk wanting a wee bit of normality....but I can't see the social distancing being enforceable and the idea of limited access to the bogs and a token system for drinks just seems like a hell of a lot of faffing about.

3 pubs in England closed down already due to customers testing positive for coronavirus.

Will definitely not be rushing to pubs or another crowded areas for a while

Sitting in the cold drinking is not very appealing is it? Outdoor heaters and proper cover are required. A massive expense for any pub that even has the space. Tough times ahead for our pub trade.

Outhouse in Edinburgh is very welcoming. Open minded to all. Good beer garden and function room. Possibly a decent venue for future meets
