Can 2020 get any worse

After being in city centre this morning passed the location of the incident 10 mins before it took place got back to work and heard the news.

Then with in 10 minutes of that got 2 pieces of horrible news back to back that has hit hard.

2020 has to go down as the worst year in history the amount of things that have happened is incredible not just everything going on with lock down but things that have happened close to home.

Unfortunately I come from the school of thought to never ask that question because something will come and slap you in the face pronto!

This year has started of pretty crap and I had kind of written it off - something has brought a smile to my face though so I have hope its not going to be a complete write off.

Hopefully you have support through this tough time OP

There’s never a good time to receive bad news. In the situation we’re in I think it just makes it worse as we’re already trying to cope on a daily basis with something out with our control.

When you’re down and feeling glum

Always remember there’s worse to come

Be careful what you wish for, things can always be worse, human beings often don’t appreciate what they do have until they don’t have it. Yes, these are trying times but we still have much to be thankful for. That’s speaking from the perspective of living a relatively average life in Scotland, I’d feel churlish complaining about being in lockdown when there are far worse human tragedies happening such as the crisis in Yemen. Just an opinion and reflective thought on a Sunday morning.

I think it should be a time to

appreciate what we all take for granted.

Yes 2020 has been a tough year for us all but its a year that has taught us many things and has certainly made me appreciate the things I often took for granted .

As Bluebelle said we are alive and healthy & better days will come again we just need to be patient & try to be a little bit kinder to everyone as you just dont know what people are dealing with in real life!

Whilst 2020 has not been a blast and God I have empathy with those burying their loved ones or watch their loved ones in agony. My heart goes out to those.

We in this wee country at least are not fleeing a war torn country having watched our loved ones including our children be shot at, poisoned or blown to pieces by our so called government only to be called a sponger on a new country and treated like a criminal.
