Not a huge fan but he is doing a great job in his programme about dementia. On again tonight at 2345 on Stv and it is worth watching other episodes on catch up.

You must stop heading balls when you're in a 69

It is a very sad condition, insightful programmes can help us understand and cope as part of a support network x

No need to apologise..

Probably I might need to.

Dementia is a disease no one wants or for close ones to suffer from..

Many soccer players from earlier era's have suffered and are suffering from playing with and heading heavier balls in a bygone age..

My response was a lighthearted dig in that you ladies are of an age where you probably didn't partake in soccer.

So the only time you may have "headed balls" is by over enthusiastically indulging in a 69..

Not very good was it.

No idea what you’re referring to in terms of not needing to apologise... I didn’t. Appreciate your post was in humour though, so dinna worry and thanks, we do need to keep that.

Meanwhile, back on the thread.....

I'll be watching. Such a cruel condition, not just for the sufferer but the whole family.

Last weeks episode is worth watching too. Focused on a lovely family where the man developed dementia in his 40's.

When I was a psych nurse student I had a placement on a dementia ward... heartbreaking.

A woman late 30s was one

One of the saddest things was a man who’s wife visited every day and her hubby started to not recognise her as his wife, she was familiar to him but he had a friend another woman with dementia and they always walked holding hands and he introduced her to his wife as his love - no clue what he had done wrong... I watched her heartbreak and she sobbed n sobbed.

How hard would that be, I never forgot it x

I'm filling up reading that.

Friend worked on a dementia ward. One wee lady had reverted back to thinking she was a young girl and insisted she had a dolly whenever she sat in her chair.

It really is heartbreaking.
