You know there's been some serious heartache when a woman goes through a red phase! I went intense red a few weeks ago. I'm not sure how long for.

Bought a hair drying brush which is amazing and really sharpened up the lines of my bob.

My hair is always a work in progress

When I was red it was great but loads of upkeep...the wee semi perm red dyes and leave on coloured conditioners were good though.

Reverted back to platinum blonde though after too many folk said I looked like a Swan Vesta match

My hair is ruined so it's not holding the colour on the ends. I'll likely have to strip it and be ginger for a while I think x

Not sure if they would do the right shade of red but Wella Colour Fresh was really good. Very pigmented, no ammonia so won't damage your hair further. More like a leave in coloured treatment for the hair.

If it helps I was a gorgeous deep purple and blue before lockdown! I am now a strange washed out bluish green colour with a lot of roots. My hairdresser will kill me if I colour my hair again after he just fixed it

I’ve by luck more than design chosen to grow my hair long. So I don’t have to wear a wig.

So it’s a mental shaggy mess at moment.

But given a few more months then I’ll be ready to get it styled and coloured.

Still having to pluck nose and ear hairs tho!

Eyebrows I’m getting away with just a pencil.

My hair is too long, awaiting hairdressers though not touching it .

Used henna for the first time on my root bit messy initially, well worth the effort..

Shangri-la

Have coloured it once since the start of lockdown. Generally it seems to be doing pretty well, getting longer but that's fine. because I'm not working I haven't been straightening it or anything & generally just let it dry naturally and it's really improved the condition of it.

Somewhere nearby

I had a cut and colour just before lockdown. It looked fabulous and I was swishing my hair all over the shop!

Now my greys are coming through and I hate it. My natural colour is blonde, and I get it coloured a similar colour to disguise the greys so for others my roots aren’t so noticeable. For me, it’s awful! I don’t bother drying and straightening it so at least it should be in decent condition!

My eyebrows are braw though! I bought a home dye kit and do them every month. I’ll go and get them shaped by a professional every now and again after all this but am going to keep tinting them myself - which will save me heaps!

To be honest when hair salons open back up mine will be getting less money from me. Lockdown has made me realise i am more than capable of doing many things to my hair myself.
